We hear about it everywhere that we go; the store, the mall, at home, when out with friends. Phrases such as “hitting the gym”, “gym flow”, and “beast mode” can be overheard to describe people’s perception of going to the gym.
Physical fitness is one of the most important things that we can do to maintain our bodies and keep up a healthy weight. Fitness does not have to mean running 15 miles or bench pressing 200lbs. Fitness and exercise can be as simple as a 15 minute yoga workout or a 30 minute walk around the block.
Spring is the time of year when everyone is thinking about getting into shape as people will soon be wearing less layers and typically outside the homemore. We should really work to make sure we are keeping in shape at all times of the year, not just in the spring and summer. Be sure to try and keep up your workout even one gloomy days and in the winter, this is key to body maintenance.
Wheelhouse of Fair Oaks has a state of the art remodeled fitness center where residents can run, bike, do yoga or pilates, use resistance bands, and lift weights. We are also located close to some great places to hike including Great Falls Park and Shenandoah National Park.
